Don't you forget about me

Dear Muddy Bootsters,

I am writing to apologise for my severe lack of posting over the past month or so. I know there are no real excuses and, yes, having a blog is a big responsibility which should not be taken on lightly.

So what can I say? I have been busy with the day job, with developing my online craft business, with looking after the incredible edibles over the summer holidays, and, sadly, I have had an unexpected bereavement. At present I don't want to write about the sad things, but they are there as a constant, affecting my thoughts, dreams and actions.

There is so much going on in my life at the moment and I do find writing therapeutic but I cannot currently seem to find the time. However...next week my lovely little Sausage will start school (a rather exciting but heart-wrenching time) and I will find myself, very temporarily, with a few more windows of time. So I will, I hope, be able to catch you up on some of my happenings and musings and get back into the swing of writing.

In the meantime, I would love to hear from any readers that may still be hanging on in there in the blogosphere. What have you been up to over summer? Do you have any goals or dreams at the moment? Do you have a child just about to start / just started school? Just a friendly 'hello' would be lovely ;-).

Yours apologetically,

Green x

  1. How's the little one going with school hun, loves or hates it?

LP just started Year 2 and we're well into the swing of things now. Don't beat yourself up too much about not blogging, sometimes life gets in the way, and that's okay. Do it because you love it, not out of some feeling of obligation.

    How was your summer?

    1. Hi, nice to hear from you. Thankfully Sausage is loving school although I think he is tired as he is a lot more volatile than usual. Summer was not great as I lost a close family member. I am coming to terms with that and getting used to a new job as well as trying to develop my felting business. I feel rather overwhelmed but do desperately want to keep blogging as I love writing and find it therapeutic. I guess there are only so many things you can juggle at once. I hope things are going well for you, I haven't read your blog (or any) for a while so have a bit of catching up to do! Thanks so much for taking the time to comment x

    2. Yes things are good here. I'm finally getting into a good routine with writing, which I love. Life can get in the way but if you love blogging you'll come back to it when you can. I'm so sorry for your loss hun, it sounds like you've got a lot to deal with at the moment. I wouldn't worry too much about blogging while everything else is happening. Sort life out first, then blog. ;)

PS: Don't worry about reading my blog! You're sounding rather busy so I'll let you off! ;)
